Spending half your weekend cleaning sand out of your car?

Here are some simple tricks to prevent sand from following you home from the beach.

Shake out towels, blankets and any loose clothing to remove sand. This should keep loose sand from getting all over your cars interior. Remember to shake sand out of your hair as well.

Rinse all beach toys, chairs coolers and bags before placing them back into your car. Use a Beach towel or blanket to catch any water drips.

Using an old flannel shirt cut a small square of fabric about 6" x 6". Fill with a tablespoon or so of cornstarch in the center of the fabric. Gather the material up around the cornstarch and secure with a ribbon or string. A single layer of flannel is best when making your pouches as it allows the cornstarch to come through easily. Brush skin with the cornstarch pouch to easily remove sand before getting in your vehicle.
